Inspiration
Chevron is an ancient motif with an inverted “v” shape—one of the oldest symbols in human history. David Yurman recognized something familiar in this simple form: viewed side-by-side, chevron’s zigzagging lines appear like a flattened image of our signature Cable design.
The collection, as our head of Men’s Design notes, is about this play of past and present—a nod to our heritage and reflection of our brand DNA.
Expression
Like many David Yurman motifs, Chevron is a play on light and dark. The deeply carved valleys in the design are often oxidized to contrast with the highly polished flutes.
Chevron’s geometric simplicity makes it a versatile design element, featured on the reverse side of our Tags, subtly woven in rubber, or skillfully detailed with diamond pavé.
